Window Audit

The table below is a record of problems found contributing to heat loss from the windows. The rectification date is included to correlate improvements with the heating system audit measurements. That is, as the improvement work takes place it is expected that this will show in the graph of measurements for gas consumption vs outside temperature.

Window cill gap
Gap under bay window cill causing draughts. Gap around perimeter of landing window.A simple test using an incense stick showed the smoke to disappear into the gap. This would probably be contributing to draughts elsewhere.September 2011Decorators filler.
